A really nice small hostel with beautiful plants and cool architecture. You feel like you are in nature. The hammocks/swinging chairs on the roof hangout spot is great, for the view and for relaxing without distraction. The shared bathroom was large and clean. Everything worked. The beds had mosquito netting and the dorm has good lockers. The staff were always helpful and responsive. A quiet place day and night- excellent to relax, sleep. And still close to everything in Puerto Nariño.

First of all, the community where the place is located is super safe—just like a typical village with chickens freely wondering around. I stopped locking my door the day after I arrived, once I realized how calm and peaceful it was. As a solo female traveler I value safety very much. Satori is located closer/deeper to the jungle so it is even calmer, and you can start your hike right at the gate. Sometimes monkeys would come to the site and I could watch them while having my breakfast/lunch. Secondly, I was amazed by the owner, a true animal lover and sustainability enthusiast. They handled everything themselves—gardening, improving the land, and preparing delicious breakfasts. Communication was easy. From the moment I made the booking, they provided a ton of useful information—like the boat schedule and more. I asked, and they arranged boat tickets and guided tours for me. Keep in mind, I don’t speak any Spanish! By the end of my stay, it felt like I was saying goodbye to a friend. Amazing people. The cabin was clean, equipped with a comfortable bed and mosquito net, fan, shelves and electrical outlets. When I wasn't hiking or touring, I enjoyed relaxing in my hammock outside the cabin. They also have decent Wi-Fi. There was a road construction down the road (village part), so I needed to detour (around 5 min walk). It should be gone in a month or so.

This hostal is awesome! Super cold air conditioning & impeccably clean. The lady that does the cleaning is so super kind and sweet. I injured my knee, and she went out of her way to help me. Even making me a special lotion to put on it which really did help.
