The home is a traditional home. From the outside, it is pretty typical of what you see. The inside has been upgraded for comfort, but has also retained its beauty and charm. The bed and bedding was super comfortable and the room was very big. Our host’s directions were spot on and we had no problems driving right to the property. The name was on the gate, so super easy to find. The breakfast the next morning was typical for the area and was delicious. We found that Zestiponi was fairly central and this would have been a great site to settle in for a few days and take day trips from there.

Most amazing place. Wonderful people. Totally worth the 20 min drive in nowheresville to get there. Wish we had time to stay a few days. But in our 16 hour stay we enjoyed 2 nice meals, a late night swim and sauna in what was like a private pool just for us (early June), and the next morning the winery director did a tasting of several of their wines, sharing interesting details of how they are made and brought us to the winery to show us around.

Beautiful rural setting, a little away from most popular tourist destinations in the country, but it makes it great. Beautiful traditional Georgian house, with a lot of woodworking elements. The bed was comfortable. Clean, hot shower, good water quality. The best part was to get to know wine making secrets. I poured wine right from the underground clay vessels called Kvevri. We did some wine tasting with another group of tourists. Georgi told some anecdotes and made sure everyone is having fun. I drank a lot of wine that night and the owner has a lot of interesting things to tell, and very kind.

Hgo and his parents were absolutely the warmest hosts ever. We reached the property a little late in the evening and the our stay was all prepped and ready. The house is an ancestral house in a vineyard - it has all the rustic vibes with all modern amenities. While our stay was short and we had a peaceful night in the Georgian countryside, the highlight of the stay was the hospitality from Hgo and his mom. They whipped up delicious vegetarian breakfast and served it in the cute outhouse for us. When there, don't miss out on tasting wines from their own vineyards. We are definitely staying for longer on our next trip to Georgia.

We had a fantastic family trip with our kids, aged 5 and 8. Our host was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and warm-hearted, showcasing the best of local cuisine with on-site meats, cheese, and delightful homemade white and red wines. The charming house featured beautifully designed handmade wooden furniture, adding an artistic touch to our stay. Overall, it was the best experience we've had!

It's a strange place, full of fast food restaurants along the highway. Some people were very nice to us, the hotel staff was great, but we also got many suspicious looks, and a lady in a Daily shop refused to sell goods to us, presumably because she thought we were Russian. We only stayed there because we needed to reach Chiatura. There doesn't seem to be much to do there.

Only there for one night as a stop.

Only there for one night as a stop. It gave me vibes of being extremely dodgy, poor and in disrepair, even by Georgian standards. I did not feel safe out at night. Though I felt a little nervous in every Georgian city, Zestaponi felt especially bad. I’m sure it’s nice during the day, but I can’t comment on that.
